Personal Development
At Coleshill Church of England Primary School, personal development is a deliberate and strength of our provision. Rooted in our Christian vision, “With God’s love, we grow and flourish together,” we are committed to nurturing the whole child so that every pupil feels known, valued and able to flourish academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
Guided by the theological principles of love, creation and reconciliation, we create a culture where kindness shapes relationships, forgiveness restores trust, and every child understands their inherent dignity and worth as made in the image of God.
Our personal development curriculum is intentionally designed to build resilience, confidence, self-regulation and hope, particularly for those who face disadvantage or vulnerability. Through carefully planned experiences across the curriculum and wider school life, pupils are supported to develop positive mental health, strong learning behaviours, healthy relationships and a deep sense of belonging. We prioritise inclusion, ensuring that all pupils, including those with SEND, are able to participate fully and benefit equitably from our provision.
Living out our identity as The GREEN School, personal development is woven through daily practice: putting God first, showing respect for others, striving for excellence and effort, and caring for creation through stewardship and connection with nature
. Through leadership opportunities, outdoor learning, enrichment, pupil voice and service to others, we aim to develop thoughtful, responsible and compassionate citizens who are well prepared for life in modern Britain and confident to make a positive difference in their communities.
