Worship Council 

Our vision is for a vibrant, connected and inclusive school, where curiosity runs wild, nature inspires learning, and kindness shapes choices, interactions and relationships. Rooted firmly in our Christian faith, the Worship Council plays a vital role in bringing this vision to life and nurturing joy, resilience and a deep sense of belonging across our school community. 

Members of the Worship Council meet regularly with Miss Goodfellow to plan and prepare collective worship that is meaningful, inclusive and engaging. Together, they help choose readings, prayers and songs that reflect our school’s Christian values, the liturgical calendar, and our commitment to helping every child flourish as a unique individual, knowing what it is to belong and to be loved. Council members confidently lead parts of worship by saying prayers, acting, or sharing reflections, demonstrating creativity, courage and faith in action. 

The Worship Council also takes responsibility for evaluating and developing reflection areas around the school. These calm, inviting spaces encourage pupils and staff to pause, wonder and reflect, supporting spiritual growth and helping our school remain a place where hope, curiosity and thoughtful reflection are valued. 

A key part of the council’s work is organising Wild Worship sessions. These outdoor acts of worship celebrate God’s creation and allow children to experience faith through nature based reflection and prayer, strengthening their sense of awe, gratitude and connection with the world around them. 

Beyond the school gates, the Worship Council helps our pupils grow into thoughtful, responsible citizens who can make a difference. The council supports fundraising initiatives for local and global charities, putting compassion and service into action. By working closely with local churches and community groups, they help strengthen our school’s Christian identity and foster a shared spirit of kindness, generosity and hope. 

This year, the Worship Council has helped to build links with a school in Malawi, develop relationships with the local care home, and deliver Kindness Message Stones across Coleshill, spreading our Christian message of love and belonging throughout the community. These actions reflect our belief that faith is lived out through love, justice and service.
